The Philippine automotive industry thrived once again as it achieved its highest monthly sales record to date of 20,924 units.

(CAMPI) and the Truck Manufacturers Association (TMA) said that September volume achieved a massive 41.7 percent growth than the 14,764 units sold in the same month last 2013. This growth is mainly due to introduction effect of new models and equally aggressive promotional support.

The passenger car segment’s sales reached 8,477 units and a significant growth of 65.1 percent year-on-year. On the other hand, the commercial vehicle segment achieved 12,447 sales and grew by 29.3 percent or 2,819 units versus September 2013.

With this, we are going to keep an eye on the remaining months of this year and expect to deliver increased sales,” explained by CAMPI president Atty. Rommel Gutierrez.
