CAMPI welcomes JAMA for information sharing on carbon neutrality and regulatory developments

The Chamber of Automotive Manufacturers of the Philippines, Inc. (CAMPI) welcomed representatives from the Japan Automobile Manufacturers Association (JAMA) for an information sharing activity focused on carbon neutrality (CN) and regulatory developments.

CAMPI and JAMA Information Sharing Activity

Mr. Ryuichiro Kamioka and Mr. Naruaki Abe of the JAMA Fuel Efficiency Subcommittee presented JAMA’s concept of an integrated approach to carbon neutrality, as well as international trends in fuel efficiency and CO2 regulations.

JAMA Presentation on Carbon Neutrality

JAMA emphasized that each country should adopt a suitable pathway to reduce CO2 emissions based on its own national circumstances. The approach should involve coordinated sectoral efforts to ensure that environmental objectives are achieved while maintaining economic development and mobility needs.

Discussion on Fuel Efficiency and CO2 Regulations

The discussions provided CAMPI members with valuable insights into global regulatory trends and best practices in advancing carbon neutrality within the automotive sector.
