CAMPI meets with DOE-OIMB


The Chamber of Automotive Manufacturers of the Philippines, Inc. (CAMPI) paid a courtesy call on Atty. Rino E. Abad, Director of the Department of Energy – Oil Industry Management Bureau (DOE-OIMB) on June 18, 2026.

The DOE discussed the current fuel situation and assured that local inventory remains adequate amid the ongoing Middle East conflict. The meeting also discussed matters under continuing deliberation by the Technical Committee on Petroleum Products and Additives (TCPPA) including bioethanol blend and Euro 5/V direction. CAMPI expressed support to TCPPA activities while highlighting the importance of having a mutually agreed upon implementation timing for future regulations.

Co-chaired by the DOE and the Department of Environment and Natural Resources, the TCPPA develops the standards for all types of fuel and fuel-related products submitted to the Bureau of Philippine Standards for promulgation into Philippine National Standards. CAMPI is a member of the TCPPA under the Engine Suppliers/Manufacturers Sector.
