CAMPI pays Courtesy Call on DOE EUMB

The Chamber of Automotive Manufacturers of the Philippines, Inc. (CAMPI) paid a courtesy call on Atty. Patrick T. Aquino, Director of the Department of Energy – Energy Utilization Management Bureau (DOE-EUMB) on May 13, 2026 to reaffirm industry support to the Bureau’s policy initiatives.

The EUMB delivered key policies and initiatives for the automotive industry in 2025, including the harmonization of electric vehicle (EV) recognition guidelines and promotion of the vehicle fuel economy labeling program. CAMPI manifested its interest to participate in the regulatory process as the EUMB continues to develop policies and guidelines to promote EV adoption, EV infrastructure expansion and energy efficiency in the automotive sector.

CAMPI also presented the upcoming 10th Philippine International Motor Show (PIMS) and sought partnership with the EUMB to make PIMS more beneficial to its visitors. The 10th edition of PIMS is slated on June 4 to 7, 2026 at the World Trade Center Manila.
